Action: Stabilizes perineal body; provides structural support to adjacent pelvic and perineal structures.
Origin: Ischial tuberosity; ramus of ischium.
Insertion: Perineal body.
Innervation: Perineal nerve (S2-S4). Arterial Supply: Perineal artery.
Due to the way that we preform the pelvis dissection, this muscle is only visible in corss section and is difficult to see.
