Ischioanal - (Ischiorectal) Fossa

The space between the pelvic diaphragm and the inferior part of the bony pelvis.  The ischioanal fossa is filled with fat to allow distention of the rectum during defecation.  The internal pudendal a. and the pudendal n. run through the fossa.
