Mandible

The jawbone.  The mandible articulates with the temporal bone of the skull at the mandibular condyle.  The temporal m. attaches at the coronoid process, and the masseter m. attaches along the ramus.  The ramus transitions to the body of the mandible at the angle of the mandible.  The symphysis of the mandible is the point of fusion of the left and right sides of the mandible during development.
