The REVOLVE tool allows you to rotate a SKETCH about an AXIS to create a new solid feature
- LEFT CLICK on the REVOLVE tool
- Select SOLID or SURFACE
- USE SOLIDS whenever possible
- LEFT CLICK on the shape(s) within a sketch that you want to REVOLVE.
- For SOLIDS select the grey areas inside the shapes to be REVOLVE.
- For SURFACES select all the edges that will be REVOLVE.
- LEFT CLICK on the pink Axis Box and it will turn blue. Select the Axis to revolve about
- The Axis can be
- A line drawn by itself
- The centerline of a cylinder
- Any straight edge of a part or sketch.
- The Axis can be
LEFT CLICK on the appropriate tab to determine the type of REVOLVE (New, Add, Remove, Intersect)
