A spline creates a curve that connects multiple points. A spline must have a minimum of 2 points.

The SPLINE tool is located in the upper left of the toolbar.

• The SPLINE tool has a pull down menu with options for a SPLINE and SPLINE POINT.
• The most recently used POLYGON tool will be shown on the toolbar and can be LEFT CLICKED directly.

The SPLINE tool creates a curve connecting multiple points

• LEFT CLICK on the SPLINE tool
• LEFT CLICK on one endpoint of the SPLINE
• LEFT CLICK on all points between endpoints in order from the first endpoint/
• Double LEFT CLICK on the second endpoint to end the spline
• Quit the SPLINE tool function by pressing ESC on the keyboard or LEFT CLICKING on the SPLINE tool on the toolbar.
• Move the handle points connected to each endpoint to modify the shape of the end of the SPLINE as desired

FULLY CONSTRAINING THE SPLINE HANDLE POINTS

To Fully constrain a Spline all points including the handle points must be defined.

The spline is fully constrained when it is black.

To define the handle points move each handle point to a defined point on the sketch.

All other points on the spline must be defined to fully constrain the SPLINE

• LEFT CLICK on the SPLINE tool
• LEFT CLICK on one endpoint of the SPLINE
• LEFT CLICK on all points between endpoints in order from the first endpoint/
• Double LEFT CLICK on the second endpoint to end the spline
• Quit the SPLINE tool function by pressing ESC on the keyboard or LEFT CLICKING on the SPLINE tool on the toolbar.
• Move the handle points connected to each endpoint to modify the shape of the end of the SPLINE as desired

• LEFT CLICK on the SPLINE POINT tool.
• LEFT CLICK on all locations where you want to add points to revise a SPLINE.
• Quit the SPLINE tool function by pressing ESC on the keyboard or LEFT CLICKING on the SPLINE tool on the toolbar.
• LEFT CLICK on the Dimensions tool to define the location of each new point.
