DC09: SKETCHING ARCS

The ARC tool is located in the upper left of the toolbar.

The ARC tool has a pull down menu with options for a 3 POINT ARC, a TANGENT ARC, and a CENTER POINT ARC.
The most recently used ARC tool will be shown on the toolbar and can be LEFT CLICKED directly.
The other options can be selected by LEFT CLICKING on the blue arrow next to the ARC tool, and clicking on the desired tool.

ACTIVITY

On the sketch created in MyFirstPart:

Delete all lines and points in the sketch
Duplicate each example below.
1. Create and constrain a rectangle and point as shown in the examples.

3 POINT ARC

LEFT CLICK on the 3 POINT ARC tool
LEFT CLICK on one endpoint of the ARC
LEFT CLICK on the other endpoint of the ARC
LEFT CLICK on the third point of the ARC

TANGENT ARC

LEFT CLICK on the TANGENT ARC tool
LEFT CLICK on one endpoint of the arc that is an endpoint of the line desired to be tangent to the ARC.
LEFT CLICK on the other endpoint of the ARC

CENTER POINT ARC

LEFT CLICK on the CENTER POINT ARC tool
LEFT CLICK on one endpoint of the ARC
LEFT CLICK on the other endpoint of the ARC
Enter the radius of the ARC
Press RETURN on the keyboard

You can end the ARC tool by:

Pressing ESC on the keyboard.
Clicking the ARC tool on the toolbar.
