Y2 Notices

What a fantastic week. Year 2 visited their new classrooms this week and enjoyed learning about their new teacher.

We have had some fun activities including watching a film in the Oryx; which the children thoroughly enjoyed.

We have continued our phonics work this week and have spent the last few days publishing our Daymaniyat books and looking through our work from the year.

What a wonderful year it has been! This year group have been absolute stars and they will all be missed as they move up to Year 3.

We also want to say a big farewell to those who are leaving us this year to move to a new school. We have enjoyed getting to know you and wish you luck with your new adventures.  

Have a safe summer and we hope that you have fun wherever you go!

Homework: -No homework - although we have added some of our phonics work on our google classroom if you would like to use them to practise for next year. 

Reading: Don’t forget to keep reading over the holiday!

Car park routines: KS1

We are trialling a few new systems in the top car park to support keeping our children safe at the end of the school day. 

We would ask that parents park in the car parking bays which extend along the whole length of the car park from the KS1 pick up area to the FS area. Please do not park in front of other vehicles or leave your car with the engine running while you go to collect your child.  There may be times when the parking bays are full and we ask parents to wait a few minutes until the congestion is clear. Please bear with us while we find somewhere for you to park. 

When crossing the road, please use the zebra crossing which is manned by the security guards as there are cars regularly reversing and driving down the road. The security guards will ensure it is safe for you and your child to walk across the road. Thank you for your continued support to keep our students safe in the carpark.

Absences

If your child is unwell, leaving early or coming late  please complete the Absence Form and the class teacher will be informed. 

Homework: - For this week, we have decided to not add homework. The children have been working very hard online and deserve a break. If you would like some activities to complete, please refer to some of the games that have been shared while working online.

Reading: Please continue to read with your child and use your child's Personal Organizer to record daily reading and  communicate any messages to their teacher. You will also find a copy of the class timetable in the front and also in the Google Classroom.
