We have mixed feelings this week!
We are so proud of the FS2 children and we don’t want to let them go!
However, they are all very ready to move into Year 1 - and we have many full fun and happy memories. Thank you parents -your support this year has been invaluable. We wish you all a lovely holiday. We wish the children and families who will not be returning to BSM next year all the very best in their new adventures
The children have read the Monster Phonics version of Goldilocks'’ this week as part of our activities. They have written lots of sentences and short versions of the story using known sight words and known phonic blends.
All the children completed their final phonics assessment. This has been stuck into their PO reading diary and we encourage you to practice and consolidate gaps over the summer vacation. Don’t forget to go over the sounds and HFWs which have been ticked off as known - children need lots of practice to embed phonic knowledge securely. Also please continue to consolidate numbers to 20 and simple number bonds over the vacation.
Support material will be available on the Google Classroom.
Finally, the children had another Best Day Ever this week - they loved our Splash and Play time in the playground on Sunday! Especially when it started raining courtesy of Ms Khulood and the garden hose pipe!
Happy Days!

Please can we request that all children come to school on the day of their swimming lessons with the following equipment:
Swim Uniform in accordance with guidelines.
Swim hats for those with long hair. NB - For Health & Safety reasons ALL hats must be secure on the head with no risk of slipping down over the face.
Goggles
Towel
Pool shoes (crocs or equivalent)
A waterproof bag to carry everything in.
Please see our Swimwear Guidelines on the website.
Please do not wear 'swim uniform' into school for hygiene reasons. Please do not wear an alternative gym or running kit for swimming lessons. It's important to use only 'Swim Uniform' and the recommendations listed above in the pool, as other fabrics become incredibly heavy when wet.
We have created WhatsApp groups for parents to know about urgent messages or reminders. Email will continue to be the main form of communication. Please read our BSM WhatsApp Code of Conduct carefully before joining BSM WhatsApp groups.
