School will finish at midday (there will be a staggered dismissal for Primary Students from 11:30am), please click here to view the pick up times and locations. Please can I ask for your patience during this process as we safely dismiss the children.
If there is a change to your usual pick up location or to who is collecting your child please ensure this is communicated to the teacher via the Personal Organiser or Primary Office.
As usual, we are inviting all students to come in non uniform. There is no theme, and no collection of money, it is simply a mini-celebration to mark the last day of term. Please be aware that, for site safety, students should wear closed shoes. Also, kindly note that our policy regarding jewellery remains in place and your children should not wear items which are not appropriate for school.
Hard copies of the yearbook have been given to all those who requested one. If you would like to arrange to print a copy of the yearbook yourself, or just download a copy to keep, please find a link to download the PDF here.
We will be publishing your child’s End of Year Report onto your Parent Portal at 2pm on Sunday 23 June. If your child is staying in the Primary School for the next academic year, we will also be sharing with you their class teacher for August.
As we approach the end of the year, and to help us plan for provision next year, we have a simple survey to help us assess our current offer. We would love to hear your thoughts. Please click here to access the survey.
Mrs. Turner has produced her summer annual guidance to families who may wish to support learning in an interactive and inspiring way across Oman and the UK. Click here to access a range of ideas suitable for children from Y1 to Y6.

From August, Zaks will be our new uniform supplier; Zaks will offer the opportunity to purchase and try on BSM uniforms in their shop 6 days a week until late (located in Al Muzn Mall, close to Al Mouj) and online via their app - with home delivery. They will also offer a free tailoring service on site. Their website will be live for purchases in August.
The only changes to the uniform will be for Senior School boys in Years 7 - 11, who will be able to wear navy shorts with their uniform and we will gradually replace the charcoal trousers with navy blue ones over the next few years. All other uniform items will remain as they are. These changes will begin from August 2024, you can view the uniform list here.

The availability of school-owned laptops for emergency use has been a valuable support system for those students who forget or accidentally break their own devices during the day. From 1 January 2024, each student will be eligible for up to five days of free laptop borrowing per academic year. This will help with emergency situations and short-term device issues. Please read more about this policy in this document.

Here at BSM we recognise that food allergies are a serious concern. 1 in 50 children have an allergy to nuts with some having severe, life threatening reactions (Anaphylaxis). In order to protect our students with severe nut allergies, we have a no nut policy. Please see below to read more:
We ask that no nuts or nut products are brought into school. This includes:
Any type of nuts
Pesto
Peanut butter
Nutella
Nougat and Marzipan
Sesame seed rolls (we also have children severely allergic to sesame seeds)
Any food items containing nuts - Chocolates, cereal bars, cakes, biscuits etc.
Many thanks for your support with keeping our children safe.
Kind Regards
BSM Nurses

For children in KS1 - Y3, Children will come to school in their PE Kit on the day, if they have swimming, they will still need to come wearing their PE Kit with their swimming kit in a small bag, there are cubicles and changing areas for the children to use.
For children in Y4-6, On the day of a PE lesson, children should arrive at school wearing their PE kit. They must bring a school uniform to change into at the end of the lesson. Deodorant is acceptable, however, no glass containers are allowed and aerosol sprays are not permitted. On a day when a student has a PE ECA but not a PE lesson, he/she must come to school in school uniform and change into PE kit, after school, in preparation for their activity. On a day where a student has PE and a PE ECA, the student will still be required to change, however he/she can change into a change of PE kit rather than school uniform.
Please click here to find a document which gives information regarding pick up and drop off for all students (EYFS to Y13).
