Our extensive extra-curricular activities (ECA) programme provides opportunities to inspire and support your child to gain the skills and competencies necessary to fulfill their potential. ECA's take place after school and are run by BSM staff.
If you have any questions, please contact our Enrichment team on enrichment@britishschoolmuscat.com
We are delighted to have another programme of Extra Curricular Activities (ECAs) on offer for next term for students in Year 1 - 13.
SIgn up opens on Sunday 15 March at 5pm
Sign up closes on Tuesday 17 March at 2pm
Sign up is NOT first-come-first-served. You can sign up at any point during the sign up period.
ECAs Start: Sunday 19 April 2026*
ECAs End: Thursday 25 June 2026*
There will be no ECAs on public or school holidays
*Some activities have different start and finish dates. These are identified within the descriptions.
Please be aware that these activities may change slightly before Sunday 15 March, when sign up opens.
Sign up for ECAs is via the Parent Portal.
Please see this document for help on how to sign up for activities on the Parent Portal.
Please email enrichment@britishschoolmuscat.com if you have any questions.
ECA's will start on the first day of term, on Sunday 4 January, and run until Thursday 19 March 2026.
Sign up is not on a first-come first-served basis – you have a few days to complete your choices. The number of clubs that your child is allocated will depend how many clubs are running and the amount of people that sign up.
The allocation is done by the computer.
Our commitment is to make sure that every child has the opportunity to be enrolled onto one activity per year. We try to enable every child to have one activity per term however this is not always possible. If you sign-up to 4 clubs that have many places and are not oversubscribed, you may be allocated all 4. If you sign-up to 4 clubs that are all very popular and have limited places available, then you may only be allocated 1 of these.
Please sign up via the Parent Portal. The Parent Portal works best using Chrome as your browser.
If you cannot log-on or do not have your log-on details, please email portal@britishschoolmuscat.com
If you are having trouble signing-up please email the full name & year group of your child along with the choices you would like to enrichment@britishschoolmuscat.com before sign up closes.
Once sign-up has closed we will only be able to put you on a waiting list for activities.
You will receive notification of successful allocations to clubs by email in the week following sign up.
Please note – If you do not receive a confirmation email about a club, this means that it was over-subscribed and unfortunately your child was not able to be allocated to that particular choice of club.
Please email enrichment@britishschoolmuscat.com if you have any questions.
After sign up has taken place, and once activities have been allocated, you will be notified by email. Once you have have received the email you will also be able to view the activities your child has been allocated on the Parent Portal. Click on the Activities tab, then Activities Review in the drop down.
Please collect your children from the following locations after ECAs:
KS1 (Year 1 & 2): ECAs finish at 2:30pm. All KS1 students should be collected from the Top Car Park at the end of their activity.
KS2 (Years 3 - 6): ECAs finish at 3:15pm or 4:15pm. Collection from the Bottom Car Park. (If there is a younger sibling in Oryx they will also be taken to the Bottom Car Park for the 3:15 and 4:15pm pick up slots).
Senior School: Students should be collected from the TOP car park (unless they have younger siblings in the primary school finishing at the same time, in which case they may join them in their pick up location). Students may also walk home.
If there is a different collection arrangement for your child, please contact the Primary or Senior School Office so they can inform the teachers.
Students should never be left unattended on the school site. If your child’s ECA begins at 3:15pm and you would like them to remain at school after the end of the school day, they must attend one of our Oryx Clubs until their ECA starts.
The Primary Oryx Club runs after school to provide supervised care outside the normal school hours. Please email oryxclub@britishschoolmuscat.com or contact the Primary Office for further information. There is a charge for this service.
Our Senior Oryx Club is open from 2:15 - 3:15pm in the Senior School library each school day that ECAs are running, ideal if your child has an activity or tuition starting at 3:15pm. During this session, your child will be able to complete their classwork or finish their homework under supervision in the Senior School Library. There is no charge for this.
If your child joins the school after sign up for activities has taken place, and you would like them to join an activity, please email enrichment@britishschoolmuscat.com.
