Please contact the Primary Office on primaryoffice@britishschoolmuscat.com if you have any questions.
All performers (dancers, actors, singers and musicians) are required to be on site for 5.15pm on both evenings (23 and 24 June) for a prompt 6pm start. The programme is the same for both evenings, therefore all performers will be required on both nights please.
The event will be a full scale, collaborative performance, featuring the wonderful work that our Year 1 - Year 13 students have produced within lessons, for examination coursework and also as part of their extra curricular Music and Dance clubs.
This will involve all students who are part of the following groups- BTEC Dance, Dance Leaders (Yr10), all primary Dance Clubs from Year 1-Year 6, Breakdance Club, BTEC Music, Wind Band, Ukulele Club, Big Band, Junior, Intermediate and Senior Choirs, as well as individuals who have specifically been invited to perform.
In final preparation for what promises to be a fantastic show, please find detailed arrangements for dancers here.
We look forward to seeing you at the event and thank you for your continued support this year. Please contact bamforthk@britishschoolmuscat.com or anthonyd@britishschoolmuscat.com if you have concerns or questions regarding any of the above.
Kindly note that parking is available at the top and bottom of the school.
Tickets have now sold out. There are a few 'emergency' tickets at the main reception for parents who haven't got theirs yet.
We look forward to publishing our end of year reports on Sunday afternoon. These will be live on the Parent Portal. On Monday, children (in FS1-Y5) who will be staying at BSM next year will have an opportunity to move up to their next year group and spend some time learning about the coming year. For students who will be leaving BSM there will be activities for them to help them get excited about their next adventure and the new transition.
School dismissal will begin at 11:30 am (EYFS/KS1) and conclude at 12pm. Please click here to ensure you are aware of the appropriate pick up time and location.
As usual, we are inviting all students to come in non uniform. There is no theme, and no collection of money, it is simply a mini-celebration to mark the last day of term. Please be aware that, for site safety, students should wear closed shoes. Also, kindly note that our policy regarding jewellery remains in place and your children should not wear items which are not appropriate for school.
This is a wonderful time of the year in so many ways - but in others it is incredibly sad as we say goodbye to some of our incredible students and also our staff. Whilst we wish each of them every happiness and success for the future - we will certainly miss them. Please click here to see a short farewell to our teachers and teaching assistants.
If you are making plans for next year, please remember that we have two bus routes operating to and from BSM. Please see below to find out more information and to sign up:
To improve safety and support parents with a fluid drop off experience, Senior School drop-off arrangements will change starting Sunday 21 June. We understand morning routines are finely tuned, so we appreciate your help with this smooth transition. All Senior School Students will now enter from the Sports Hall entrance or All Weather Pitch steps to the far left of the school. Previous entrances via the right side of the Bottom Car Park and the D&T walkway will be closed. Please drive as far left as possible before passengers exit to prevent traffic delays. Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping us safe. Please see this graphic below for clarification.
Lost property has been set out in the entrance of the Sports Halls. Please encourage your children to have a look, or pop by yourself (after 4:20pm) to see if you recognise any items that you might be missing. We will be donating any unclaimed items to charity at the end of this term.
If you do plan to leave us (we will be very sad to see you go if this is the case) please ensure you complete the formal exit process, which can be found on our website.

A gentle reminder that we are a nut-free school. We have children in our community with severe nut allergies and even small traces can cause serious reactions. To keep everyone safe, food items containing nuts or nut products must not be brought into school in lunchboxes or as snacks. This includes items such as pesto, peanut butter, chocolate spreads containing nuts, cereal bars with nuts. Thank you for your understanding and support in helping us maintain a safe environment for all students.
The BSM campus is not open for visitors or parents between 7:30am–4:20pm. If you have a meeting, please sign in at the main reception and you will be escorted at all times whilst on site. Thank you for keeping our school safe.
The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology have notified us that transporting students to and from school in private vehicles for a fee is not permitted under the Land Transport Law and the School Transport Regulations in the Sultanate of Oman.
In light of this, we kindly ask for your cooperation in ensuring that only approved and authorised transport arrangements are used for your children.

Every Wednesday afternoon we send out a newsletter to keep you up to date with what’s been happening in school and to let you know about the exciting events coming up. We really encourage you to read these each week so you don’t miss out.
If you do not receive these emails, please first check your spam or junk folder. If the problem continues, kindly log in to the Parent Portal to ensure we have the correct email address on record. Alternatively, get in touch with us and we will be happy to assist.
If you are missing an email from school, please check we have your details correct on our Parent Portal.
We are aware of a few problems with our emails not being received by parents, particularly for Yahoo and Hotmail addresses. To help our emails make it to your inbox we would recommend the following:
Gmail users - emails sometimes go into the 'promotions' tab and occasionally 'spam'. Please check both these folders. To correct, you can just drag and drop one such message to the 'Primary' mailbox and click Yes on the confirmation box for all future messages. Saving our email addresses will also help (see below).
Yahoo & Hotmail users - emails sent to a group (such as a class or year group) are often filtered out as spam by Yahoo and Hotmail. You can avoid this by adding the email addresses below to your contacts. Please also consider providing us with an alternative email address to contact you.
ALL users: Please add the following email addresses to your contacts to ensure our emails get to your inbox:
Primary Office: primaryoffice@britishschoolmuscat.com
Senior Office: senioroffice@britishschoolmuscat.com
Communications: communications@britishschoolmuscat.com
IT Team and Parent Portal: portal@britishschoolmuscat.com

Here at BSM we recognise that food allergies are a serious concern. 1 in 50 children have an allergy to nuts with some having severe, life threatening reactions (Anaphylaxis). In order to protect our students with severe nut allergies, we have a no nut policy.
We ask that no nuts or nut products are brought into school. This includes:
Any type of nuts
Pesto
Peanut butter
Nutella
Nougat and Marzipan
Sesame seed rolls (we also have children severely allergic to sesame seeds)
Any food items containing nuts - Chocolates, cereal bars, cakes, biscuits etc.
Many thanks for your support with keeping our children safe.
Kind Regards
BSM Nurses
