We have been discussing how we can keep ourselves safe in different situations, especially when outside and we have talked about stranger danger
We have been learning about the continents and oceans and have been labelling word maps to show these
In Discovery Learning this week we have been weaving with different fabrics, buying clothes in our clothes shop, programming beebots to find shapes and sewing pictures using the running stitch!
Please see Google Classroom for some photos of what we have been up to in Discovery Learning.
We have been revising dge
We have been writing complaint letters from some classroom objects. The chairs are upset when children don’t tuck them in, the glue sticks want the children to remember their lids and the scissors are annoyed that the children are not cutting in straight lines! The children have enjoyed getting into character and writing their letters!
We have been learning about things which are alive, used to be alive or have never been alive. We have discussed how we can distinguish between things that are alive, things that used to be alive and things that have never been alive by considering the basic needs of living things and some simple life processes (movement, nutrition and growth).
We have been learning about British coins and notes. We have been using different coins to pay for items and have been giving change

Please can we request that all children come to school on the day of their swimming lessons with the following equipment:
Swim Uniform in accordance with guidelines.
Swim hats for those with long hair. ALL hats must be secure on the head with no risk of slipping down over the face.
Goggles
Towel
Pool shoes (crocs or equivalent)
A waterproof bag to carry everything in.
Please see our Swimwear Guidelines on the website.
Please do not wear 'swim uniform' into school for hygiene reasons. Please do not wear an alternative gym or running kit for swimming lessons. It's important to use only 'Swim Uniform' and the recommendations listed above in the pool, as other fabrics become incredibly heavy when wet.
