The Mathematics Passport is a personalised way for us to track and improve your child's mental maths skills. It makes it crystal clear what their next learning step is, ensuring they're always working at a level that is just right for them.
Think of the Maths Passport as a personalised maths journey! The targets are set up in a progressive way (like traveling through different "continents") to make sure the work is always appropriate and challenging for your child's current level.
Your child moves through the continents at their own pace. The ultimate aim is to help them develop instant recall skills for all the objectives. This means they are working toward knowing the answers instantly—not taking time to calculate them—to build a strong foundation for future math learning.
To support your child, we would ask that you spend a few minutes each day practising your child’s passport skills with them. This could be walking to school, in the car, at teatime, before bed – it does not need to be a sit down, formal time.
To access the website, you need to be logged into your child's account - e.g.smithd@britishschoolmuscat.com
