Wondering which enrollment status should you use when a student is no longer enrolled in a class?
During the school year, DO NOT DELETE a student from a class. Instead, change them to a status of Transfer, Incomplete, or Complete.
Use TRANSFER if you are not sure which status to use. This keeps grades visible in reports, but not report cards or transcripts/grades history. Students withdrawn from your school will automatically have their classes marked as Transferred that night.
Use INCOMPLETE to show a student's grades & attendance on a report card this term but not transcribe to award credit or show in the grades history tab.
Use COMPLETE to stop exporting a student to Schoology, Remind, etc. Grades earned will show on report cards, will be transcribed, and will show on the grades history tab.
DROPPED is OK only if a student has no grades or attendance in a class (e.g. removed before the start of a term). I still prefer TRANSFER for these situations.
NOTE: We no longer have to make changes in 1st term to show in Schoology for later terms. Simply make the schedule change for the term the student is in and Schoology will pick up the change that night!
Select class to drop
Click Change
Change enrollment status (use guidance above to choose)
Hit Enter or click Submit to save.
Click Add
Look up class on Class ID field

If you get an error, try re-enrolling the student as shown below...
If a class was marked DROP or COMPLETE, you will need to find and Change the status to ENROLLED.
Go to the student's Schedule tab
Change "Enrolled" to "Not Enrolled" to view inactive classes
Select class/classes to enroll
Click Change and set Status to "ENROLLED"
When you submit your change, the student will be re-enrolled.
Change “On Click” to desired status
Completed - if the grade should be displayed on report cards, credits, transcripts
Dropped - not recommended
Incomplete - if grade assigned should not be shown on report cards, etc.
Transfer - if the student is leaving the school. Grades will be visible on student tab & report cards, but not transcripts
Click class twice
NOTE: It is best NOT to DELETE a class but to Change its status to an option above. Attendance and grades can be lost if classes are deleted during the school year.
