Monday 9/9/19:

• We started by passing out passports which can be used to go to your locker or bathroom for the quarter.
• Then we worked on our Get to Know you sheets...please finish by tomorrow if they are not done yet
• Then we wrote down a concern or issue we have had with middle school so far, or a question and had a chance with an activity to discuss them.

Homework:

• Finish Get to know you sheet by Tuesday
• Optional: Bring in Kleenex, Clorox Wipes or Hand sanitizer for a chance at a drawing-Friday 9/13

Tuesday 9/10/19:

• We started by collecting Get to Know You Sheets
• Then we did a teamwork directions activity
• We then finished our discussion about things that are causing anxiety or we are not sure about still with middle school.
• We then discussed what is MN and what makes someone a Minnesotan!

Homework:

• None!
• Optional: Bring in Kleenex, Clorox Wipes or Hand sanitizer for a chance at a drawing-Friday 9/13

Wednesday 9/11/19:

• We talked about 9/11 and watched CNN 10
• Then we read pg 1-5 in our textbook introducing us to MN Studies and completed pg 1 (Ch Comprehension)

Homework:

• Bring 3 things with you on Friday that are unique to you
• Optional: Kleenex, Clorox or Hand Sanitizer by Friday!

Thursday 9/12/19:

• We reviewed how to access the online version of the textbook
• Then we finished looking at the side bars in our text
• We then did MN Studies page and explored the MNHS Collections online
• We also did 1 of 2 Enrichment options describing MN either with words or images!

Homework:

• Bring in 3 things that are unique to you tomorrow! Feel free to put them in a bag. You WILL take them home tomorrow!
• Optional: Kleenex, Clorox, or Hand Sanitizer-Friday

Friday 9/13/19:

• We did our investigation for Ch 1-looking at the things we brought in and discussing primary and secondary sources! How do items share a story about something, someplace or someone?
