Monday 9/10/2018:

• We started by selecting our seats for the next 2 weeks. Remember to pick a spot that is going to help you focus and people who will help you focus too!
• Then we passed out passports: these will allow you to go to your locker, get a drink, go to the bathroom, erase a tardy, etc. If you have these at the end of the quarter, then you can get candy or extra credit.
• We then did our short 1 minute breathing exercise.
• Then we explored the MN Historical Society collections (MN Studies page)
• We then took time to think about what we know about MN (Enrichment page)

• Make sure MN Studies and Enrichment page are done for Tuesday
• Tuesday bring 3 things that represent you, feel free to put them in a bag if you find it easier to bring them!

Tuesday 9/11/18:

• We Started by doing our breathing exercise
• Then we watched CNN to reflect on 9/11
• We then read pg. 6-7 in our text and wrote down the definitions of Primary and Secondary Sources
• We traded artifacts and completed the chart in our packet for the investigation.
  • We shared our findings with our partner and then also discussed which parts of our conclusions were accurate and which were inaccurate. How does this relate to the work of a historian?
• We read pg 8 after

Wednesday 9/12/18:

• We finished and collected our ch 1 packets
• Then we discussed early MN and how oral history and archaeology help us better understand how people lived.
• We read pg. 10-15 and completed questions 1-2 in our Ch 2 packet.

Thursday 9/13/18:

• We started by collecting late work
• Then we continued to discuss early MN and how oral history and archaeology help us better understand how people live.
• We finished the Ch 2 comprehension page front and back and finished reading ch 2

• Finish the Ch 2 comprehension by Friday!

Friday 9/14/18:

• We started by collecting late work
• Then we wrapped up ch 2 by completing the MN Studies and Creative Enrichment activities.
• Any time left was spent reviewing for the CH 2 test on Monday.
  • Study the chapter, notes and packet.
