Wednesday 3/21/2018:
- We started by collecting late work
- We then read the birthplace of religions reading on pg. 13-14 of our workbook.
- Then we talked about our 3 speakers that are coming this Friday-Tuesday to talk to us about the 3 main religious groups that have their historical roots in the Middle East: Islam, Christianity and Judaism. They are coming to inform us about their religions.
- We will have cards that you can use to write questions and we will be filling out pg 15 as we listen to them speak.

Thursday 3/22/2018:
- We started by collecting late work
- Then we worked on our SW Asia Map (See below)-instructions are on pg 3 of your workbook

Friday 3/23/2018:
- We had our speaker from the Islamic Resource group come and speak to us about the basics of Islam.
- We invited him here because the religion of Islam is a core cultural component of our study of the Middle East, and a growing religion in the United States and MN.
- While listening to him speak, students filled out pg. 15 in their workbooks
