Geography 1/22-1/25/19

Tuesday 1/22/19:

• Today we got new seats, numbers and passports
• We also talked about Quarter 3 and 4 expectations. Specifically to late work. All late work for a unit is due by the date of the last test/project/activity. You can turn the assignment in after, but it will not be given points.
• We passed back the quizzes from Friday, students can recycle if their Latin America test was below 26 or their Place Location test can be retaken if they were below 23. Retakes can be scheduled in the Get it Done Room or with me. Retakes need to be done by next Friday 2/1, recycling due by Monday!
• Then we read ch 12 section 1-2 and completed the workbook pages for it. Then we were assigned a reading for each of the groups that use the amazon, we completed the first page of the Philosophical chairs activity.

Homework:

• Pg 1 of the philosophical chairs activity due Wednesday
• Late work ASAP-Q2 work: by 1/25 for honor roll or 2/1 for last chance changes

Wednesday 1/23/19:

• We collected late work
• Then we discussed the perspectives of our groups that use the Amazon Rainforest and how they would feel about using the Rainforest sustainably. Then we discussed our own opinion based on the information we learned about how people sue the rainforest.

Homework:

• All of the philosophical chairs activity due Wednesday
• Late work ASAP-Q2 work: by 1/25 for honor roll or 2/1 for last chance changes

Thursday 1/24/19:

• We started by collecting late work
• Then we read about the ASU culture on pg. 20 or our workbook. We also discussed it on pg. 21
• We then discussed how we view other cultures.
• We finished by working on pgs 23 and 24 that are due tomorrow!

Friday 1/25/19:

• We started by collecting late work
• Then we discussed the culture sheets that were due today
• Then we prepared for our Fanschool Draft on Monday!
