Monday 9/10/2018:

• We started by selecting our seats for the next 2 weeks. Remember to pick a spot that is going to help you focus and people who will help you focus too!
• Then we passed out passports: these will allow you to go to your locker, get a drink, go to the bathroom, erase a tardy, etc. If you have these at the end of the quarter, then you can get candy or extra credit.
• We then did our short 1 minute breathing exercise.
• Today we are starting to learn about the 5 themes of Geography
  • We took some notes using our Cornell Note pages in the back of our new workbook
  • Then we watched this short video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFDvrvp33EA
  • We then read the reading about the 5 themes in our workbook.

Homework:

• Make sure you are signed up on Remind!
• Finish 5 themes reading on pg 3-5 by Tuesday!

Tuesday 9/11/18:

• We started by doing our breathing exercise
• Then we watched CNN 10 to reflect on 9/11
• We then did a group sorting activity where we checked how well we understood the 5 themes and examples of them.
• The remainder of the time was to work on the 5 themes review (pg. 6-7)

Homework:

• Finish review (pg.6-7) by Wed
• Sign up for remind ASAP!

Wednesday 9/12/18:

• We started by checking our 5 themes review
• Then we watched this video about latitude and longitude: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ab-gE8ov4o
• We then took notes on Latitude and Longitude (See below)
• We started on our Latitude and Longitude review in our workbook.

Homework:

• Latitude and Longitude Review due by end of hour on Thursday!

Thursday 9/13/18:

• We started by collecting late work
• Then we worked on our latitude and longitude review (pg. 9)
• After we played latitude and longitude battleship!

Homework:

• Late work ASAP
• Study for quiz tomorrow: Workbook pg 3-9, notes on latitude and longitude and 5 themes!

Friday 9/14/18:

• We started by collecting late work
• Then we took our quiz on 5 themes and latitude and longitude
• We then played battleship!
