Quest MN Studies 9/17-9/21/18

Monday 9/17:

• We took our Ch 2 Test today!

Homework:

• Late work!

Tuesday 9/18:

• We started by collecting late work
• Then we took our map locations and skills pre-test (not graded!)
• We then passed back the quiz from yesterday
• We also went through our binder and put some things in our archive folder in the room so it could be refered back to...but not lugged around!
• We then had time to reflect...7th grade: on how this year is going compared to last...6th grade: on how the year has started so far!

Homework:

• Late work ASAP!

Wednesday 9/19:

• We collected late work
• Then we worked on some vocabulary for ch 3
• Then we read pg. 31-33 and answered Q 1 on the first page.
• Mrs. P read the story of the Badger and the Bear on pg. 34-35 and we answered question 2.
• We read pg 36-37 and answered question 3.

Homework:

• Late work ASAP!

Thursday 9/20:

• We started by collecting late work
• Then we continued our discussion of the early Dakota people.
  • We looked at the sidebar on pg 37
  • Then Mrs. Polaschek read the story of the Ghost Wife and we read about the meaning behind the story.
  • We also read about how Dakota history is circular instead of linear
  • (Finished Ch 3 comprehension and reading)

• Late work ASAP!

Friday 9/21:

• We started by collecting late work
• Then we looked at the map of MN and how the bands of Dakota were located around the different types of vegetation. (MN Studies)
• We also listened to another story: The Thunderbird and the Water Spirit and drew some images to go along with the story. (Creative Enrichment)

Homework:

• Make sure the two pages we worked on today are done.
• Late work ASAP!
