Registration Reminders

Required Classes for 9th Grade: American Government (2 terms), English 9 (2 terms), Math (2 terms-Teachers will let the high school know which class you should be taking), Physical Science 9 (2 terms), Phy Ed 9 (2 terms)

Signing up for electives: (Make sure your MYAP says 8 out of 8) - MAKE SURE YOU SAVE!

Band/Choir/Orchestra: You sign up for your music + 4 Choice classes (Phy ed will alternate with your music choice all year long)

• Also, change your PE class. Delete the current class and add PE 9-1 credit (should include #'s 5036, 5037, 5038 & 5039 each worth .25 credits)

Arts Magnet Program: You will end up with 4 Choice classes (plus the Arts Foundation class requirement) - If you are music you will then only have 2 Choice classes

Non Music/Non Arts Magnet: You will get 6 Choice classes

AVID: Your AVID class will be A and B Day along with English 9. It takes up 2 electives. AVID non-music: 4 elective choices, AVID Music: 2 Choice classes.

** Everyone signs up for 3 alternate electives in case the ones you chose were not available anymore or did not fit into your schedule.

Reminders:

* If there are two course numbers it means that it is for 2 terms-You MUST sign up for both (or if there are 4, you MUST sign up for all FOUR)

* If there is one course number it means that is is for 1 term

* Look for pre-requisites. If there is one, you must have taken that course first!

• Pg 5 will have the high school graduation requirements, mainly focus on 9th grade, but will help you if you want to see the full picture!
