James Martin, a junior, will be swimming his 2nd season this winter. He started swimming when he was 10 years old for New London Hills and on and off since then.

He was very proud to say that his team were the champions of the BCSL Swim Championships this summer.

“My favorite stroke is backstroke because you can breathe but I also like breaststroke because you can relax,” Martin says.

He says that his least favorite is the butterfly stroke and his favorite event is the 200 freestyle.

His best event is the 100 freestyle and he dreads the 100 butterfly the most.

He’s most excited for the GCL meet this year and he hopes to make districts again in the 500 freestyle.
