For some people, boy bands and their music is something they enjoy. The occasional concert and frequent jam sessions provide a fun hobby and passion. For Elise Noelker, boy bands mean much more than that. Boy bands are an integral part of her life.
Boy bands have been a part of Elise since the sixth grade.
Noelker said, “My friend played the new One Direction song, “Best Song Ever”, and I instantly became obsessed with them.”
Noelker has had plenty of memorable moments with boy bands, but one sticks out in particular.
Noelker said, “I got to spend two hours with a band called In Real Life in Dayton before their concert.”
Even after this experience, Elise doesn’t have a favorite boy band.
Noelker said, “It’s too hard to choose.”
There’s a lot to love about boy bands, but the sense of community is what Noelker loves the most.
Noelker said, “The community made through liking boy bands is what makes them special.”
And if there ever is a day where boy bands are no more, the Badin senior doesn’t know what she would do.
Noelker said, “ I would be really sad, and not know what to do with my life.”
