Kim Salerno: Badin legacy
Kim Salerno is currently a junior at Badin, and she is the sixth Salerno to attend the school.
Some of the teachers at Badin graduated with members of her family! She was on the academic team last year and she plans on joining again this year. Salerno enjoys reading. Her favorite book series is Percy Jackson. She also enjoys playing tennis. In her spare time, Salerno also enjoys watching TV. "Parks and Recreation" is her favorite show. For fun, she likes to hang out with friends.
“If I could change the world, I would change the price of sneakers, making them be sold for a cheaper price. But, a more important matter that she wants to change is making the foster system have a stricter process when they chose houses for kids to live in,” Salerno said.
Salerno wants to be a history teacher in the future because she loves learning about history.
“The French Revolution is my favorite time period in history to study.”
Salerno’s most memorable moment at Badin is walking in during freshman year and all the seniors were clapping and welcoming her and her classmates.
Her hidden talent is her flexibility,
“I am able to bend my legs in weird ways,” she said.
