Family Tradition: Part of the Ramily

All students are a part of the community here at Badin, but sometimes the tradition connects through generations. Many students can connect their Ram roots all the way back to the first graduating class of 1967.

Junior Caitlyn Smith is the eighth member of her family to go through the school. Her grandma, Jennie, was a member of the first graduating class of Badin.

Being a member of the first graduating class was a unique experience.

“She thought it was weird because it was her senior year, and it was different,” Caitlyn said.

Many students are the first in their family to come to Badin. Junior Lucy Wurzelbacher and senior Evie Wurzelbacher are the first of their family.

“Actually, when I was in seventh grade and Evie was in eighth, we looked at Mcauley High School and Badin,” Lucy said.

Ultimately, the Wurzelbacher sisters chose Badin because of the community, academics, and environment it offered.

“When Evie was a freshman, it got me excited about Badin High School,” Lucy said.

As the classes at Badin continue to grow, the community is excited to see what other families will come to Badin.
