Badin sophomore, Jake Graf has grown up doing Boy Scouts. Boy Scouts has impacted his life and made him the person he is. His love for the Scouts started a long time ago.
“It goes back to grade schools and they always advertised it and I thought it was interesting,” Graf said.
At almost all schools Boy Scouts is advertised and given as an option. Graf took the opportunity to try Boy Scouts and has never regretted it.
“I have been a part of Boy Scouts for 9 years,” said Graf.
During his nine years with Boy Scouts he has learned so many important life lessons and skills that he will take with him for the rest of his life.
“I feel like my public speaking skills and leadership skills have grown a lot. I have learned a lot of team building skills from Boy Scouts and how to lead a group of people,” Graf said.
Boy Scouts is designed to help kids grow into good people that are contributing to society. Graf has learned how to do just that.
“I do a lot of service and helping nature areas around here and develop leadership qualities,” Graf said.
Boy Scouts has had a positive impact on Graf’s life. While most people stop doing it when they are young, it could be really helpful to some people.
“As far as scouting goes, a lot of people see it as people being strange but it actually helps you develop good social skills and there is a lot more people that do scouts then you think,” Graf said.
