Ashley McKinney: Future history teacher

Ashley McKinney is a junior at Badin. She has many aspirations for her future, including being a teacher.
McKinney has many interests, including playing sports and reading. She plays softball and golf, but her favorite sport is golf. She is also an ambassador for Badin. She enjoys writing for the “Badin Banner”, and her favorite topic to write about is food.
McKinney enjoys taking journalism and history, but her favorite class is history.
“I want to be a history teacher,” McKinney said. She wants to teach history because it has always been her favorite subject.
McKinney likes learning about history because she thinks it is interesting to learn about different people.
“I think that history would be the most interesting subject to teach,'' McKinney stated.
She likes to learn about US History because she enjoys learning about the different presidents and their stories.
Mr. Zimmerman’s history class was her favorite because she loves the way that he taught his class, and she enjoyed the topics that he taught. She also liked his class because it focused on US History, which is her favorite topic.
“[I] love the way he talks in his class, and I really like how he teaches,” McKinney said.
