In addition to the basic, state-mandated ESOL program, Atlanta Public Schools offers the following through the use of federal Title III program funds in order to enhance the development of language, literacy, and content skills while allowing opportunities for additional language and academic practice to meet the achievement standards necessary for grade promotion and graduation:
● Computer-Based Programs: Lexia English, Lexia Power Up, Lexia Core 5, Off2Class, Imagine Learning
● Title III Extended Day Tutoring: Available for ELs in elementary, middle, and high schools throughout the district
Decision-making guides are provided to ESOL teachers to assist them in determining the LIEPs best suited to meet the specific needs of their students.
