Teaching students about the Tragedy of the Commons

My colleagues, Lauren, Chloe, and I, went to Iditarod Elementary school and presented to the students about the "Tragedy of the Commons." We taught them about sustainability in the environment and how we keep nature from not taking too many resources. 

We did this through a lab where they got to fish for goldfish, and in the end, they realized that taking too much for themselves could harm others because they wouldn't get any food at all.
