WEEKLY HAPPENINGS
It was another week of end of trimester assessments, so not as many class projects or photos.
On Monday, the basketball teams from Swan's Island came to play! Because they come for lunch, we had fun eating in our classroom with our Pre-K friends. We then were able to watch the games! Both teams played phenomenal games and it was fun to cheer them on!
In art, Mrs. Linders inspired us to look forward to spring by making beautiful spring flower chalk drawings!
On Tuesday, our Atlantic Salmon eggs arrived! For those of you who are new to our classroom, each year we raise 200 Atlantic Salmon eggs and when they grow to the fry stage, we release them in the West Branch of the Union River, right at the bridge on Tannery Loop in Amherst. These fish and endangered species, so we do our best to care for them in hopes of bringing back their population to the area!
This week, we finished up and labeled our constellation tubes! They are currently in our nonfiction library/science area so we can work on learning to recognize constellations!
On Thursday, we enjoyed book buddies with the 3-5 room and on Friday, we were joined by our chess buddies for continued chess lessons.
In PE on Friday we learned some tumbling with the help of Taylor, who is in Mr. C's classroom. Everyone had a lot of fun!
