ANNOUNCEMENTS

• Trimester Speech and Language Updates: If your child receives speech and language services, I will be sending on Ms. Jodi's trimester this upcoming week.

• Thursday, March 24: Field Trip to Williams Family Farm Pre-K - 5 will be visiting Williams Family Farm in Clifton to learn about tapping trees and the process of making maple syrup! We will be visiting in the morning and will be back by lunch.

WEEKLY HAPPENINGS

I would like to thank those of you who rescheduled conferences on Tuesday so that I could take a sick afternoon/evening. I appreciate your flexibility!

It was great to meet with you so many of you, and I look forward to upcoming conferences. Please remember, that I am happy to meet with you at any time, not just conference time!

This week, we did an independent writing check-in. It was great to share our latest writing skills with you at conferences.

In math, we learned how to play "Fishing for 10". This is Go Fish, but instead of matching pairs, we look for pairs that make 10 (7+3, 6+4, etc). We had fun paying with one another!

Throughout the year, we have learned about different reading strategies in our reading groups. This week, we started some full class lessons on these strategies and started making bookmarks to remind us to use these strategies!

On St. Patrick's Day, we learned that we all have so many treasures, even without finding a pot of gold! We made our own pot of gold, filled with the treasures in our lives.
