WEEKLY HAPPENINGS
I apologize for not getting updates out for the few weeks before vacation. So this update covers all of April!
In writing we have continued to work on our opinion writing by choosing a favorite book to write about. We started by sharing with one another why we liked the book and then we put those thoughts into writing. We then worked on writing a summary of the book. Currently we have moved on to writing our opinion about why it is a great book! When we put it together we will have book reviews!
We made cards for our friend who moved to a different school.
Doing origami with Mrs. Linders.
We had fun making Easter crafts.
On Friday before break, we had an ice cream party. A big thank you to C.'s family for all the ice cream and toppings! It was a great way to celebrate the April vacation!
April is Autism Awareness Month. We have been learning about autism and learning how we are all alike in some ways and different in some ways!
On this past Thursday, Ms. Nicole visited from SNAP-Ed and we tasted pineapple.
This week the 3-5 room performed their fairy tale plays with us. They did a fantastic job!
A few photos of stations, games we have learned as a class, and chess Friday!
