Welcome to Richmond Park Academy
Richmond Park Academy (RPA) is an inclusive, dynamic 11-18 secondary school located in the London Borough of Richmond on the boundary with the London Borough of Wandsworth. We have a student body of close to 900 diverse and talented students all working hard as individuals and as a school body to "find their remarkable". As a school we have a relentless approach to the improvement of teaching and learning which is exemplified by our commitment to after school, Saturday school and residential teaching programmes. However, enrichment programmes are a fundamental part of the fabric of our school. Our extracurricular programmes are second to none and our July enrichment week, World Week, is an important part of the RPA learning experience.
Due to a general failure in the school’s electricity system, students will be dismissed by 9.00am this morning. We are aiming to fix the problem today so school shall be open as normal tomorrow. We will keep you updated on this. Students in Year 11 and Year 13 will stay in school so that they take their exams and attend the planned cram sessions. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Calling all youth dancers age 12 to 19 years in West London!
Combination Dance is creating a beautiful new piece of work for presentation in a park as part of our Eco Picnic this July. We are looking for youth performers and choreographers to join the production team and RYD youth sessions. The group will devise a dance inspired by the themes of "conservation, extinction and our environment" working alongside established dance artists. See more for audition dates.
Summer extracurricular activities - view now
The summer extracurricular programme is now available to view on the extracurricular page. There are a number of new activities this term including tennis, maths challenge club and athletics. We have also introduced a new way of recording which sessions students attend so that we can reward more easily. All Year 7 - 10 students should now have an extracurricular record form in the back of their planners. Club organisers will sign them each week to record their attendance and Tutors will then check those records so that they can award achievement points. We hope to be awarding lots of students this term!
