How to set up my cloze activity.
Firstly, create a doc and name it properly:
e.g Your name Discovering the past - Dinosaurs
SHARE it with Ms Tito - jtito@ptengland.school.nz
Type out the text in your doc making sure the answers are in red. Once you have filled in all the answers check for spelling and does it make sense? Go onto the comprehension questions and type your answers in red again.
Here is an example of what it should look like in your doc.
There are more than 350 kinds of sharks. We usually hear about sharks that have attacked or killed humans.
However, many kinds of sharks are gentle creatures and only eat small plants and fish.
Sharks are fish but they do not have soft skeleton like fish. They have a softer frame made of cartilage like the tip of our nose. Sharks have fewer than most fish. Baby sharks are called pups. The parent sharks do not take care of their young. In fact, sometimes they even eat them!
1.1 Why are most people afraid of sharks? Most people are afraid of sharks because they attack and kill humans.
1.2 Write True or False after these sentences.
Sharks are fish. True
b. Sharks are all gentle creatures. False
c. Baby Sharks are cared for by their parents. False
