Week 15

Class Notes:

This Wednesday is an Early Release Day; 12:15 dismissal.

Reading lessons will focus on using nonfiction text features to enhance our understanding of informational texts.

In Fundations, we will begin Unit 6 (the open syllable, open syllable exceptions, and soft sounds for c and g). Family resoures can be found HERE.

Math lesson will focus on using the standard algorithm to add multi-digit numbers.

During Writers' Workshop we will continue to work on our nonfiction writing pieces, researching for additional facts, adding technical words and text features.

In Science, we explored different animal adaptations (feathers, the shape of ears, camouflage, etc.) and discovered how these adaptations help animals survive.
