Reed, Sheri

Sheri Reed began her teaching career as a substitute and doing a few part time contracts in BC. When she arrived in Fort McMurray in 2001 she taught a mixed bag of subjects Social studies, French, Physical Education and Health at Beacon Hill School. Since then Sheri has been seen teaching math and science to junior high students at Timberlea, Westview and now Ecole McTavish Junior High School.

Her favourite part about teaching is seeing the pride and joy in the face of a student when they finally understand after struggling through a concept. Sheri is a legend among the staff members at the schools she has worked at with as stories of her teaching right up until the day her babies have been born, and returning

the day after to visit with her newborn in the staff room float around even after she has left the school. These stories are true. Sheri is a dedicated, loving mother to 4 amazing kids Bryan, Jared, Andrew and Katelyn.
