Krismer, Shauna

Shauna Krismer graduated from the University of Alberta in December of 1987 with an elementary major and a music minor. She went on to start her teaching career in March of 1988 at her former elementary school - Vincent Massey - in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Before leaving Canada for an English as a Second Language teaching position with her husband, David, she taught in High Prairie, Alberta for three years. Shauna and David called Santarem, Portugal home for 2 years in the 90's.

When they returned to Canada they settled and taught in the Athabasca area for one year and then on to Vermilion, Alberta for five years before arriving in Fort McMurray in 2002. Shauna got a job teaching at Greely Road school where she taught primarily Music and band. After two years away from the classroom, she returned to teaching at the Fort McMurray Christian School

where she has been since 2007 teaching a variety of subjects including Music and more recently has been the Learning Assistance Center teacher. Shauna started her Masters of Education studies in 2013 and plans to finish her degree next school year. Shauna and David have one son, Nian, who is 14.
