Donna Davidson
Donna began her career with FMPSD in 2005 when her and her husband Darren moved here along with their three daughters, Shantelle, Karlee and Alli. She has taught all grades in elementary and substitute taught in both elementary and high school. She also worked as an Early Literacy Specialist for the Ontario Early Years Initiative. Donna has had several positions in her career at FMPSD including Literacy Coordinator, Kindergarten teacher at Dickinsfield School, Kindergarten, FNMI Liaison, First Steps in Reading Facilitator and Learning Coach at Timberlea and most recently LAC Teacher at Walter and Gladys Hill. Donna attended the University of Virginia’s Summer Institute on Differentiated Instruction, attended PD on coaching teachers, literacy, assessment, and aboriginal education.She has been on the Early Years Development Committee, Timberlea’s Instructional Leadership Team, the District PD committee and Aspiring Leaders as well as numerous committees within the schools. Donna has partnered with AHS to develop the Empathy for the Aging program. A program that builds intergenerational relationships with our students and the elderly in our community. When she is not at school she is busy driving her daughter to dance. She enjoys all sports, yoga, music, spending time with family and the lake in the summer.Donna is grateful for the opportunity to work with several students, families and colleagues in FMPSD over the past ten years and looks forward to many more.
