Quinn Lotsberg
Quinn began with the District in August 2005 at Greely Road School as a Vice-Principal. From February-June 2006 he became the Acting-Principal and from June 2006-June 2010 the Principal. The District and city were quite different back then! There were 14 new hires that year at Greely Road School and that was the norm. Fort McMurray was booming!Highlights were helping build city-wide balanced literacy capacity, continuing the Professional Learning Community and Understanding by Design work begun pre-2005, working hard to develop future teacher-leaders, bringing Tribes to the North and implementing positive reinforcement strategies. In the spring and summer of 2010 he chaired the 'School-within-a-School’ committee moving Fort McMurray Islamic School into Greely Road School and spent that summer overhauling and readying the building with O&M.He moved to Westwood as vice-principal in August 2010 and was transferred to Frank Spragins as vice-principal for the 2014-2015 year. He has enjoyed learning about high school operations and making relationships with the high school aged students.Prospecting and gemology are his newest hobbies and he hopes to intermesh the love of the outdoors, mountains, prospecting and flying again soon.
He loves spending time with friends, family and puppy sitting for his sister in Edmonton.
