Course Overview

    Introduction to Catholicism is a course, which sets the foundation of why we are here and where we are going.  This course reminds and invites us to the call we have been given since our birth, service to God and love of our neighbor.  This course also strives to create an awareness of God’s plan and provides us with the desire to re-discover prayer and spirituality, through conversation and relationship with one another.

Course Objectives

Through full participation in and outside of class, the student will be able to…

  • Understand God’s message contained in Sacred Scriptures

  • Apply various truths contained in Scriptures to one’s daily life.

  • Reflect on and discuss Scriptures and Church Teaching.

  • Apply moral principles of the Church in inter-personal relationships.

  • Discover ways to build a faith community.
