Course Overview

Algebra 2 is a full year course. This course is required for students who are aiming to pursue higher mathematics such as Pre-Calculus, Calculus AB and Calculus BC, and other upper division mathematics courses. Moreover, this class is essential in science courses such as Chemistry and Physics. Algebra 2 introduces the concept of polynomial equation theory, exponential and logarithmic functions, series and sequences, and analytic geometry.  This course will also cover triangle trigonometry, trigonometric functions and graphs, and trigonometric identities. The use of a graphing calculator is highly encouraged throughout the course.
