Administrator Consulting/Outside Employment

Administrators shall not accept consulting or outside employment for pay without the approval of the board.

It shall be the responsibility of the administrator to inform the superintendent prior to accepting consulting or outside employment so that it may be placed on the agenda for the next school board meeting. If an administrator desires additional employment or consultative work, the administrator must be able to show the board that it will not interfere with the duties of the administrator’s current position with the school district. Should the board approve a request from an administrator to do consultative or outside employment, the board reserves the right to request the administrator cease as a condition of continued employment. The board shall give the administrator 30 days notice to cease the consulting or outside employment.
