Set up your webpage on The Leek Homepage
Answer the First Day Writing Questions and attach them to your Webpage
Next: (Start before Spring Break and finish no later than the end of Spring Break)
Get set up on Google Reader--watch the following video:
From there...
Follow the news--through Google Reader--daily
Complete your first NewSheet--you will do two in the first two weeks of class
Contribute to The Ideas Page
Claim an idea from the Ideas Page and start writing (on your webpage)

After you've done some writing, go through these last steps for Issue #1
For Issue #1 you should submit at least 400 words--as one longer piece or several, smaller "news in brief" pieces
Read other people's pages and make comments (on the Leek main page)
You need to complete all this before April 5th or you may be withdrawn from the class.

Thurs 2/28: Do NewsSheets: you should have four total
Fri 3/1: Take ideas from the Ideas Page. Do some writing on your webpage
Mon 3/4: Continue writing—pick your favorite stories to develop into your published pieces for Issue #3
Tues 3/5: Read, edit and make comments on other people’s writing.
Wed 3/6: Check IC and see what you’re missing. Check The Final Sample Page and compare it to your own.
Thurs 3/7: Work to get enough work completed for the quarter.
Fri 3/8: Last Day of 3rd Q
Mon 3/11: 3rd Q Exhibition Day. Feel free to check in with Pfouts in person
Tues-Thurs 3/12-14: Finish up—extra work can be published in 4th quarter’s issue #1 in order to allow you to pass this quarter.
Fri 3/15: Last day I will accept work

We're making a TCAP Issue. Go to the Ideas Page and contribute and claim ideas. Do this over the weekend.
Do some warm ups on your webpage. Do this over the weekend.
We're going to produce a short, entertaining issue for students taking the TCAP. After that we will have a more standard Final Issue.
Next week you will post to a TCAP Issue Page and Issue #3 Page.
