unnamed: Is 'W' the name of the author known to me as Wolf Hesse, aka Roger from an as yet undisclosed TV station in Vienna?

12:06

roger: fixed;)

12:06

Barry Kort: Is there some reason you are not disclosing your real life identity?

12:06

roger: yes. 1/ native speaker, no. my english is a catastrophy ;)

12:06

roger: roger andel, is my real name

12:07

roger: nobody cares, normally

12:07

roger: most people know me as wolfhesse

12:07

Barry Kort: Why do you have more than one name on the Internet?

12:07

wolfhesse: just like in chatboards.. an avatar..

12:08

wolfhesse: i have about 2000 accounts.. from games. wolfhesse got feedback when 2009 university protests took place in vienna. i left it at that. it's a developed persona

12:09

wolfhesse: most people recognize me as both, roger and wolfhesse in real life. they know how to differentiate that. i do not declare taxes as wolfhesse ;) i keep that separated.

12:09

Barry Kort: Is this a real world business enterprise or an instance of Installation Art or Guerrilla Theatre?

12:09

wolfhesse: sfe is an existing company. it started with that art channel.

12:10

wolfhesse: a colleague of mine did establish the underlying technical system

12:10

Barry Kort: Is it a company registered with some government registration authority?

12:10

wolfhesse: it is a sample for a currently running and funded project i have a part in

12:11

wolfhesse: the company has no part in _my_ project right now. i just have means to support that. computers, systems..

12:11

wolfhesse: tools

12:11

Barry Kort: Can we migrate this chat over to your FB TimeLine? This is exasperating, multiple independent private chat windows.

12:11

wolfhesse: fb is for publishing, when things are ready. they are not, yet

12:12

Barry Kort: I can't possibly integrate all this fragmentary material into a coherent mental model in this crazy-making mode.

12:12

wolfhesse: yes. i'm overloaded too..

12:12

wolfhesse: take your time, no pressure.

12:13

wolfhesse: i expected everything to be of low-workload for the people i asked.

12:13

Barry Kort: Please, Roger. Migrate this transcript, either to FB or to the Comments in my Google Sites posting.

12:13

wolfhesse: i have to take care for construction on the 'other side' things are simply not ready by now

12:13

wolfhesse: it makes sense to publish, when things are ready.

12:14

wolfhesse: i am trying to reduce contexts myself, too.. i have a couple of dozen open conversations right now

12:14

wolfhesse: i'm an awful organiser ;)

12:14

wolfhesse: things will calm down. give us a couple of days, please

12:14

Barry Kort: Very well. I will do that for you this time. But I am doing it under protest that it's an abuse of my good offices to be fragmenting our conversation in four different spaces.

12:15

wolfhesse: i understand that. 30% were pissed off. i work with the 70% that stay.

12:15

wolfhesse: this is real world processes.

12:16

Barry Kort: This is an idiotic way to do business.

12:16

wolfhesse: given the options to do it that way or not at all, i do it that way

12:17

wolfhesse: there are samples of successes that started much more chaotic.

12:17

Barry Kort: Understand that if I remain engaged, everything involving me will be rapidly made public.

12:17

wolfhesse: as you whish. nobody else has thoughts about that. i think it is worth a discussion, but i have other priorities right now..

12:18

wolfhesse: i have to push the content production stream..

12:18

wolfhesse: have something to show

12:18

Barry Kort: It's part of my practices. My work is for public consumption.

12:18

wolfhesse: the enterprise aspect is premature, but not without reasoning behind

12:18

wolfhesse: mine too, always. always open, always free.

12:19

wolfhesse: on the other hand, we have to somewhat 'protect' different workloads and issues from one-another

12:19

Barry Kort: My practice is to exhibit my work, including my own reasoning, and allow peer review to do its thing.

12:19

Barry Kort: My practice is to engage in open source projects in the public interest.

12:20

wolfhesse: my invitation was meant as a question.. 'would you be willing to observe, when something will be available"..

12:20

Barry Kort: Therefore, to the extent that I am called upon, understand that my participation will be open sourced.

12:20

wolfhesse: an observer role, more than active interminglement.. which led to minor chaos, i see that now.

12:21

Barry Kort: What is the point of being an observer, unless I am at liberty to bear accurate witness to that which I am observing?

12:21

wolfhesse: yes. everything will land in public domain. nevertheless, individuals beg for protection.. a couple of persons were overloaded already, very active people.. i just pinged them. they resonded with 'pong'

12:21

Barry Kort: That which I observe is subject to being disclosed, within the scope of scientific ethics.

12:22

wolfhesse: your primary role was meant to notify _me_.. if something has logical fallacies.

12:22

wolfhesse: b/c there is, where your talents are.

12:23

Barry Kort: I am not prepared to protect the privacy of others who come to me in search of participants in an open source enterprise in the public interest.

12:24

Barry Kort: I am notifying you that it is an ethical impropriety to ask me to privately do your ethical reasoning for you as a public service, without a private contract between you and me. And I am not prepared to enter into any such private contract at this time. And probably not ever, as that is not my practice.

12:25

wolfhesse: yes. acknowledged.

12:25

Barry Kort: Do you have any problem with that?

12:28

wolfhesse: not at all.

12:30

wolfhesse: my expectation is, ideas will expand quite a lot from here on, before processes are established, and compaction can develop. it's too much for everyone, probably.. i see no reason to stop that.

12:33

wolfhesse: i just notice that there are immensely variant forms, how 'human brain perceives information and directs its focus' ;) i did not mean to disturb you.
