Robert Conan Ryan Barry Kort so met me get this straight: the reason why you have a problem with my post is because you believe that it is counterproductive to a "world without abuse"..

I'm not a hypersensitive person. I'm cut from the countercultural cloth, not the handwringing hypersensitive cloth.

I like risky things like humor, psychedelics, and controversial ideas.

I have more in common with Hunter S Thompson, a man who ran with the Hell's Angels for a good story, than I do with diversicrat academic administrators who try to make sure that every special snowflake never encounters hardship, conflict, controversy, or dangerous ideas.

I believe that kids learn to swim when you THROW them in the pool: that's how I learned. I believe that South Park is a funny TV show, not comedic "abuse".

I do not like rubber walls and padded rooms, not even Democrat rubber walls and padded rooms.

you can go about your crusade to eliminate all abuse, but all you will create, in its, stead is a "pig in a cage on antibiotics", to quote Radiohead.

Chris Chardon The thing about it is, Trump outmaneuvered her in every way possible.

1) Legal. He said he'd donate if he tossed her a DNA test during a debate and she "found out she was Indian". The first two conditions have not been met, so he doesn't owe her anything according to contract law.

2) What is "an Indian"? I don't think 1/64th-1/1024 qualifies...and neither do most Indian nations. They usually want at least 1/16th in order to join the tribe.

And really, these are the only two standards that are going to matter. So she's toast in this one.

And I like her as well, when she's not being blatantly partisan. But she's lost this one.

Like · Reply · 1h

Robert Conan Ryan Scott Sanville for many years she has brought it up in politics. it wasn't a "political hit" Against her, becuase SHE introduced it frequently in conversation. SO trump challenged her on it in the past. So she took the bait and did a DNA test to show that she has "a native ancestor" but the acutal study says that it could have been somewhere between 6-10 generations back.

She then received a total denouncement form the Cherokee NAtions's secretary of state, admonishing her for even attempting to use a DNA test to justify her claims. They said she is not native, and her behavior is not useful to native American interests.

She screwed up, flat out.

Like · Reply · 1h

Scott Sanville OK, so she brought up the fact that she had a native ancestor many times, Trump called her a lier, and the test proved that she had a native ancestor. The 1/64 vs. 1/1024 seems somewhat irrelevant to the original claim... Unless Warren was saying she was 1/64 herself.

I’ll have to look it up, but I’m pretty sure Trump had said that if she had any native blood, he would donate $1M to a charity of her choice. He never said he would donate $1M if she was 100% native because that wouldn’t have made sense. So, the percentages still seem irrelevant.

People who did due diligence have already lost access to what they paid to have access to people are being left to die. More often than not it will be conservative Republicans.. I can see the humor... mostly they are conservative or republican because they vote for those sacred words not because those words are in any way associated with traditional conservative or republican values. A nominal shadow remains to point to but it is hollow and empty.

Rich Democrats and Rich Republicans will get richer and they will pat each other on their backs and have a party. Non of them are on FB or will share a teary face on anyone's concerns fears or troubles..

Losers need to die and decrease the surplus population. It would be funny seeing how the losers voted but I find it too depressing.

Like · Reply · 6h

Robert Conan Ryan Barry Kort furthermore, anyone who is 6 generations removed from an ethnicity has no right to claim significant ancestry. Period.

If you want to know why, look into native tribal politics, and understand just how important it is that one claims ancestry to a tribe. ITs a life altering thing to choose to affiliate with a tribal reseveration. either you do, our you don't, and if you don't you are NOT native. That's the official position of the tribal nations of the United States. if you have a problem with that, you're anti-native.

Like · Reply · 6h

Robert Conan Ryan there is no such thing as genetic race at a 6th generation-removed level...the genetic markers used to identify native ancestry is JUNK DNA, not meaningful haplotypes.

It is about abusive practices — being abusive to Senator Warren. It is about your personal remarks, which are abusive not just to her, but to me as well.

Asserting cavalier theories of mind, as you have done twice here, is an abusive practice that I urge you to seriously and conscientiously reflect upon and excise from your repertoire of conversational practices.

It's the unbecoming practice that Mr. Trump employs routinely, and it's an alienating and polarizing practice. If you employ that practice with your students and with your fellow faculty, as you have employed it here, I fear that it will negatively impact your stature and standing as a respected and respectable academic.
