May 12 - Turkey in the Poppies

Changed my mind about a 'peak' day in the woods- it is today!

Almost everything is in bloom together- and I came upon a turkey crouched in the poppies. She walked away as I approached with my camera.

The weather is warm and humid- all plants are in heaven.

New bloom group: woodland phlox, shooting stars, prairie trillium.
