2015 Aug 2 - good day for birding

My husband and I are getting into a routine of taking a work break at 4:30 pm, always with binoculars, camera, bird and butterfly field guides at hand.
Today we spotted these birds from a shady spot next to the pond:
- Kingbird
- Cedar waxwing
- Scarlet tanager
- Goldfinch
- Robin
- Chipping sparrow
- Common flicker
- Hairy woodpecker
- Bluebird
- Eastern Phoebe
Identified a couple new butterfly species too:
A good day!
The pond is a wildlife magnet.
