Our treatment services work on the specific and individualized needs of each person and their family. Sober living is a type of group housing. All tenants are involved in substance abuse recovery programs.Tenants are provided an alcohol, drug, and violence-free environment to aid in their path to restoration. All properties are located on bus routes and with-in walking/biking distance from downtown district, treatment centers, business districts, 12-step meetings, employment placement agencies, and social service centers.
Bedrooms include bed, dresser, WiFi, TV with cable, desk and chair, nightstand, bed linens, bath towels and a box fan. Fresh Start can also accommodate Home Plans for those being released by the Dept. of Corrections.

HOUSING AND LIFE SKILLS
Residents will be provided safe and affordable housing at the Healing House and New Beginnings. Residents will be assisted with searching and securing employment. Residents will attend Life Skills classes based upon their needs. Accommodations will be provided for 8 men and 8 women residents plus the house managers.

Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (Mon.-Fri.) New Horizons assists adults with disabling mental illnesses as well as adults with co-occurring substance use disorders. Services: Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program which includes Community Support, Healthcare Home, Medication Services, Crisis Intervention and Resolution, Counseling Services, Psychosocial Rehabilitation (day program), and Residential Services. New Horizons is a nonprofit corporation certified by the MO Dept. of Mental Health and accredited by CARF.
Eligibility: Adults residing in Cole County with severe and persistent mental illness.
Funding: Dept. of Mental Health, Medicaid, Medicare.

New Horizons provides people with support so they can learn to manage the impact that mental illness has on their daily life. We find that people with mental illness and substance abuse disorders often need support with finding a psychiatrist, obtaining medication, and learning to manage their symptoms; finding and keeping housing; finding and keeping a job; and learning to manage their time in productive ways.We assist people with severe and persistent mental illnesses and co-occurring substance abuse disorders by providing quality psychiatric rehabilitation services. We offer people hope, kindness, and respect for their process of recovery, while helping them effectively manage their lives.

New Vision™ is an inpatient medical stabilization service that accepts appropriate adults, who are currently using or are experiencing acute withdrawal symptoms from certain drugs or alcohol. It consists of a medically supervised hospital stay for inpatient stabilization that typically lasts 3 days. Upon admission to the hospital for medical stabilization, assessment of the patient’s fundamental needs is accomplished. These assessments include medical history, physical, a complete laboratory workup and a nursing assessment. New Vision at CRMC will not admit someone who is currently under the influence or intoxicated. Patients must refrain from using/ drinking for a period of time prior to coming in for their assessment and must meet minimum requirements of an acute withdrawal scale to be eligible for admission into the New Vision service. New Vision at CRMC is a completely VOLUNTARY service. New Vision at CRMC accepts Medicaid, Medicare and Commercial Insurance with the exception of the following; UHC Community Plan – Managed Medicaid, Missouri Care- Managed Medicaid, Cigna Connect Network, Cigna Surefit. New Vision at CRMC is not a state-funded service but there is a self-pay option available to those who are uninsured, the hospital requires half of this amount up front at time of admission and payment arrangements can be made with the hospital on the remaining balance.
