The Substance Abuse Traffic Offender Program is a statewide mandated system of comprehensive, accessible, community-based education and treatment options for individuals arrested in Missouri for alcohol and drug-related driving offenses. SATOP is a 2-Step program requiring a screening interview followed by attendance in one of four programs.

The facility provides detoxification services to the public. The treatment center provides outpatient and residential short-term treatment care. There are special groups and programs for persons with co-occuring mental and substance abuse disorders, men, DUI and DWI offenders, and criminal justice groups. Sober living is a type of group housing. All tenants are involved in substance abuse recovery programs.Tenants are provided an alcohol, drug, and violence-free environment to aid in their path to restoration. All properties are located on bus routes and with-in walking/biking distance from downtown district, treatment centers, business districts, 12-step meetings, employment placement agencies, and social service centers.

Bedrooms include bed, dresser, WiFi, TV with cable, desk and chair, nightstand, bed linens, bath towels and a box fan. Fresh Start can also accommodate Home Plans for those being released by the Dept. of Corrections.

New Vision™ is an inpatient medical stabilization service that accepts appropriate adults, who are currently using or are experiencing acute withdrawal symptoms from certain drugs or alcohol. It consists of a medically supervised hospital stay for inpatient stabilization that typically lasts 3 days. Upon admission to the hospital for medical stabilization, assessment of the patient’s fundamental needs is accomplished. These assessments include medical history, physical, a complete laboratory workup and a nursing assessment. New Vision at CRMC will not admit someone who is currently under the influence or intoxicated. Patients must refrain from using/ drinking for a period of time prior to coming in for their assessment and must meet minimum requirements of an acute withdrawal scale to be eligible for admission into the New Vision service. New Vision at CRMC is a completely VOLUNTARY service. New Vision at CRMC accepts Medicaid, Medicare and Commercial Insurance with the exception of the following; UHC Community Plan – Managed Medicaid, Missouri Care- Managed Medicaid, Cigna Connect Network, Cigna Surefit. New Vision at CRMC is not a state-funded service but there is a self-pay option available to those who are uninsured, the hospital requires half of this amount up front at time of admission and payment arrangements can be made with the hospital on the remaining balance.

Total Recovery Substance Abuse Program, Incorporation is a not-for-profit, faith based organization which offers transitional/recovery housing for veteran women, women released from drug/alcohol treatment programs, women who are just released from prison and women fleeing domestic violence, with a substance abuse background (except veterans).

We will focus on meeting our client’s immediate need for a safe, sober living environment, residential stability, increased and reliable income, and eventually assisting our clients with the skills to acquire permanent stable housing. In addition to receiving shelter, clients of TReSAP will receive emergency food, clothing and assistance with transportation. Children may accompany mothers.

All services are driven by an individual treatment plan, which guides the frequency and duration of services. Codependency counseling is offered to significant others, wives, family of consumers. Anger management classes are offered at each location when there are enough consumer requests to warrant developing a group.Missouri law requires all persons arrested for an alcohol- or drug- related traffic offense to complete an assessment screening at an OMU. The result of this evaluation determines the appropriate level of SATOP placement for each consumer.
