Services: Provide education, advocacy, crisis intervention, counseling, and other direct services for deaf, hard of hearing, deaf/blind, and late-deafened individuals and families; Missouri Crisis Hotline/Text Line; Deaf Crisis Videophone Hotline, sign language classes for all ages; deaf culture training to agencies; Teen Institute (camp for deaf and hard of hearing youth) teaches alcohol and drug abuse prevention, HIV/AIDS awareness, and other issues facing youth; free counseling for hearing and deaf individuals and their families who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, rape, incest and child abuse, free 24-hour crisis interpreting for Deaf victims of crime.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul leads men and women to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to the needy and suffering. Members of the Society offer tangible assistance to those in need – it is this personalized involvement that makes the work of the Society unique.

Help can take many forms --- our initial focus is to help those people living within the Mexico School District that are in need of furniture. We will receive donated items and coordinate placing them in homes that are in need of our assistance.

We are located inside the Second Missionary Baptist Church in Vandalia MO. And are open 2 days a week (Tuesday and Thursday) from 9:00 AM - 12:00 noon. We help pay utility bills, food costs, prescription medicines, and prescription eyeglasses. Occasionally, through partnership with other local charities and organizations, we can offer gift certificates or other vouchers to local retailers. We also carry the necessary forms to apply to the CMCA Emergency Assistance Program in Columbia MO.
